Merry Christmas from all at Hobarts, thank you for making 2018 yet another successful year!

The year started well as Hobarts were awarded the number 1 selling dealer in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) for 2017.
We were part of a select group invited to attend an early preview of the new ULTRA9 laser system in Las Vegas in February. With pre-orders now being taken we expect orders to start coming in very soon.
We have been adding new products to our materials store and will continue to do so through 2019. Our materials division continues to grow as we offer more and more laser suitable materials.
Our Leybourne office had some renovation carried out during April and accordingly our demo suite has expanded. We now have an outstanding facility with systems from the VLS desktop (VLS2.30 and VLS3.50), VLS platform (VLS6.60) and PLS series (PLS4.75 and PLS6.75), all twinned with the very latest BOFA iQ extraction systems.
In May we carried out our largest and possibly most demanding installation to date, at the Architectural Association in Bedford Square, London. View our news article.
We had two new staff members join us in the summer. Jo-Anne Coates takes up the role of service and support coordinator and will be liaising with customers regarding their service visits, annual service plans as well as ensuring any technical queries get resolved as quickly as possible.
Michael Shrimpton is our new technician. Michael brings a solid engineering background and a wealth of knowledge of the laser systems to the team.
September and October were exceptionally busy with new installations and training sessions. It’s been great to have so many new customers join the Hobarts family as well as many existing customers adding to their current laser facilities. We are staggered at the wide range of applications our customers use our systems for, with the more challenging applications really allowing us to ensure we are at the forefront of the laser market.
November and December are always busy months for laser servicing and this year has been no exception. Education customers getting their systems in top form for the upcoming ‘making’ period and industrial customers rounding off the busy year with some well-deserved scheduled maintenance. Our service plans prove time and time again preventative maintenance is much more economical than just repairing the system when an issue occurs, and this is shown by a record number of our customers taking up our service plans. You can see our service plan details here.
We are already looking forward to some exciting new installations and prospects early in 2019, so we’ll all be itching to get back after the festive break.
Don’t forget we close on 24th December and open again on Wednesday 2nd January at 9am
Top quality materials from a brilliant British based supplier
The materials I ordered came through very quickly in perfect condition as per usual, Hobart's is the only place I have found to be worth buying laser engraver materials from always great prices
