Hobarts has been around in various guises since 1989. Initially, operating as a financial advertising agency in the heart of the City of London. In 1995, the business moved to Kent and set up its acrylic manufacturing operation the following year.

In the summer of 2000, the company started selling lasers and have steadily gained a reputation for supplying good quality, reliable equipment to education, government and industry.

Our philosophy is to provide the best products backed up with first class training and followed by excellent after-sales support. We are well known for having the best trained technicians in the business with regular in-house courses to keep abreast of product development and training at the manufacturer’s facilities in Vienna and Scottsdale, Arizona.

One example of where we'll go that extra mile is that our technicians always carry their DBS certificates (Disclosure & Barring Service). This means they can work in schools without having to be shadowed. So teachers can spend their day teaching rather than chaperoning our engineers.

Testimonials

Sir William Perkins's School - Hugh Walker - Technology Technician

Just to say many thanks for your diligence and professionalism with each visit. In a technicians role a seamless delivery of service/support from companies and their engineers is always greatly appreciated given the demands of the teaching environment, and that’s always been the case with Hobarts and yourself.

Chauncy School -  Jake Cooksey - DT Technician

Adam was really fantastic, he ran through everything with me and explained how to clean and maintain the machine. He also showed me all of the software side of things too. Adam stayed longer than he thought he would and didn't stop trying until he was happy with the changes he had made.

Townley Grammar School - Dominic Gammon - D&T Engineering Technician

Thankyou very much for your extremely prompt reply with the Service Report, for our 'Universal Laser', and for the dedicated work you did towards the optimum running of our laser on Tuesday 21-11-2023. I will read through for advisories etc.

Very much appreciated. Thankyou for your input in how to officially clean the Laser Lens etc.

Co-op Academies - Fay Palkimas - Art & Design Technology Technician

Steve was great, very knowledgeable and friendly.

Coventry University - Gary Perkins - Technical Demonstrator

Thanks for the annual support of our laser cutters. Again you have delivered an outstanding service, that is comprehensive and thorough. Your Engineer Adam, is very professional, taking time to explain the processes and any issues we need to be aware of. The machines are spotlessly clean and work as new after service. 5 Stars !
