University of Southampton have purchased their second Universal laser cutter from Hobarts, just 16 months after the Universities first purchasing a PLS6.MW laser cutter in 2017 the University of Southampton have invested in another premium laser machine.
This time the University decided upon a PLS4.75 – 60 Watt laser. The PLS4.75 is a free-standing single laser platform designed for multiple-material processing applications and small scale production. With a bed size of 610 x 457mm this makes this laser a truly versatile laser.
Hobarts are delighted to be working with the University of Southampton again and look forward to supporting the University and students with their on-going studies and research.
