Hobarts were delighted to be contacted by Prima Dental when the time was right for the company to purchase a new laser cutter.
The company have used a VLS2.30 – 30 watt laser with HPDFO™ (High Power Density Focusing Optics) for a number of years and have been pleased with the quality and usability of the laser, so when the time came to purchase a new machine the only thing they wanted to change was the bed size!
It was decided a VLS3.50 – 30 Watt laser cutter with HPDFO™ was the upgrade Prima Dental were looking for, increasing the bed size to 610 x 305mm.
The HPDFO™ option that Prima Dental stipulated offers the ability to drastically improve resolution in laser marking and laser engraving applications, to directly mark onto some metals, and to increase the range of materials which can be cut with a CO2 laser system. This is accomplished through ULS patented HPDFO™ (High Power Density Focusing Optics) that focuses the laser’s energy into a much smaller area than is possible with standard lenses. This has applicability across many industries and gives several benefits to the customer:
-
Dramatically Increased Resolution
Unusually small features can be laser cut, engraved, or marked on a vast number of materials. -
Higher Power Density
Allows the system to process materials which are typically only possible with much higher laser power. -
Configuration Flexibility
ULS systems can be quickly reconfigured to use HPDFO or the standard combination of lenses to enable both high resolution and high throughput. -
Reduced Materials Cost
The HPDFO enables ULS systems to use smaller optical elements which reduces initial and maintenance costs.
If you would like to find out more about HPDFO™ and how it could benefit your business contact Hobarts.
We are delighted to continue to work with Prima Dental and that our expertise in laser products helped find a solution to their purchasing problem. Hobarts wish Prima Dental all the best with their new laser cutter.
