Hobarts were delighted to be contacted by Knutsford Academy in Cheshire at the end of 2022

 

The Academy were keen to invest in a Universal laser cutting machine and after the Hobarts sales team discussed requirements with the A&D Faculty it was decided a Universal VLS6.75 with a 60 watt laser was the perfect fit for the school’s needs.

The VLS6.75 offers a brilliant bed size of 813 × 457 mm and with 60 watts of power has the ability to cut up to 12mm of laserable materials. This coupled with the super easy to use laser software Laser Interface+ provided with the  machine, makes the VLS6.75 an extremely versatile laser cutter for all sorts of materials and thicknesses. Which allows for creative projects to come to life, we are sure the students are going to make fantastic use of it!

 

Laser Interface+

 

The Laser Interface+ is a materials-based print driver that gives you the choice of automatic or manual control over power, speed, pulses per inch and other system settings. Laser Interface+ combined with the Universal Control Panel (UCP), gives you complete control over your laser processing system.

Features include:

  • Print Preview Function allows you to preview a job on-screen before it is actually run to ensure proper set up. It also displays the progress of each job as it is running.
  • Run Time Estimator provides an estimate of the time needed to process a job.
  • Job Storage Buffer allows you to store and run thousands of jobs and change, restore and save job parameters on the fly without the need to reopen the graphics software file.
