Caterham School, Surrey, one of the top co-educational schools in England. A multi-award winning day and boarding school, renowned for its excellence, reached out to Hobarts to acquire a cutting-edge laser cutter for their Design and Technology Department.
Both the Head of Design Technology and the DT Technician have had previous experience with Universal Laser Systems (ULS). The DT department knew exactly the model that would fit perfectly into their studio. Now the proud owners of the PLS4.75 – a powerful 40 Watt Laser with an impressive bedsize of 610mm x 457mm – the school can effortlessly complete their students' projects.
The PLS is the perfect solution for processing a wide range of materials. What sets it apart are the patented and exclusive Uniquely Universal features, such as Laser Interface+ and Rapid Reconfiguration, which come as standard on the PLS4.75.
To ensure the utmost safety and compliance, the PLS4.75 laser was accompanied by the BOFA AD Oracle IQ Extraction Unit, complete with an integral compressor. This guarantees that all fumes are efficiently extracted, giving the school peace of mind and ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
