Hobarts were honoured to be approached by the prestigious Sir William Perkins School to complete the installation of a new VLS6.60 – 50 Watt Laser cutter.
Due to the nature of the older buildings at the Sir William Perkins School this wasn’t a straight forward installation. Access to the classroom that this laser was to live was a narrow staircase leading to a first floor room. The laser machine was not going to fit the stairwell in one piece.
Luckily by nature the Universal lasers are built to be modular and this allowed the three technicians to carry sections of the laser up the stairs and reassemble in the classroom.
The modular architecture of our systems means they can go into ‘almost’ any space.
As you can see three technicians were needed for this installation.
Hobarts were delighted to receive these kind words from the estate manager after the installation:
I’ve just been over and had a chat with Jo and she, and her team, are very happy with the new Laser Cutter. I just wanted to add my thanks to you and the team that installed. It was a pleasure dealing with a professional group like yourselves, we have had some (shall we say) dubious engineers visit in the past. Dealing with Hobarts has been a pleasure made easy by your professional and honest attitude to what we were trying to achieve. The highly professional manner in which you and the team dealt with the purchase, install and training have left us with a very happy Design Technology team.
Thank you
