Laserboard by PolyBak is the original Laserboard manufactured in the US by Richwood Industries. Because of its inherent strength, it is very popular with model-makers as the material remains strong even when large areas are cutaway.

There are lots of imitations but if its not PolyBak its a fake!

PolyBak is now available here from Hobarts who are the sole distributor in Europe.

Awesome new material : 0.9mm laserboard

I purchased ten sheets of this material to try on my 5w diode laser cutter and it worked perfectly first time. I was able to both etch and cut with settings just a little bit higher than I use for 1.5mm ply. The material is very dense and strong and I will most likely be using it in conjunction with said plywood for architectural models. I’m well impressed, both with the material itself and with Hobart’s overall. Great company, great products!

Folks, I have noted that edges are very rough and well proud of the board itself so when laser tracks across it catches and drags the work about meaning starting again with a fresh board. To rectify will need to sand edges.
The boards also does appear to stay flat and bows that could just be because it is thin but I store at a constant temp under weight and still it bows which causes the same effect as above. So you cannot really use the full size and have to limit the work space to ensure laser doesn't track over edges for both reasons above.
However that said once cut it adheres well to other materials and after priming takes paint well
