This item can be cut using a CO2 laser. You should achive very good results with our materials. If not, your laser settings may need adjusting. Please consult your user manual or the company that you bought your laser from for specific advice
Engraving
This item can be engraved using a CO2 laser. Some materials can be engraved using engraving compounds such Cermark but these are not included in this category
Marking
This item can be marked using a CO2 laser. It may be possible to mark some materials using HPDFO - High Power Density Focussing Optics but these are not included

Sustainable
This wood product has been sourced from sustainable resources. This material is covered by the Forestry Stewardship Council scheme.
These MDF boards are specifically designed for model making. With a thickness of only 1.0mm, they are ideal for laser cutting and can be easily cut using various methods with a cutter. These MDF sheets are also suitable for cutting with scissors and a guillotine.
It can also be painted with both water based and spirit based paints. It is recommended that MDF is sealed before spraying with spirit based paints, this can be done by using diluted PVA or a primer.
This photograph is a good representation of the wood and shows prominent marking over large areas. It may, therefore, be better painted.
*PLEASE NOTE: These sheets of MDF are supplied to us as 1mm, we have found there may be +/- 0.2mm tolerance but mostly exactly 1mm.
Whilst this item is compatible with being cut on a laser cutter, this is not the case for diode-based machines (the material will burn and become too damaged to be useful for fine detail).

For larger orders (over 200kg), a pallet network may be used but this will be discussed with our customers first.
