Balsa is a tree growing along the Equator which needs humidity and will normally be found growing at altitudes of up to 1000 metres.
Naturally growing in Ecuador, it is now cultivated from plantations in Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.
Balsa is normally cut when the trees reach 3 to 5 years old. If cut later, the density increases.
Our product is very low density from 80 to 300kgs/m3 with an average of between 120/150.
***All dimensions are nominal - sheets maybe supplied up to 2mm undersize on each edge***
