1.6mm laser engraving laminate with silver micro surface layer on a black core

This product is specially manufactured for Hobarts and for processing on a laser.  It is a 2-ply sheet with a micro thin (0.1mm) top layer on a coloured core. By engraving away the top layer it reveals the core colour

Unlike similar products, the core is acrylic only. It does not have an ABS layer which is really designed for rotating carbide engravers and makes it more difficult to achieve excellent results when laser engraving.

Suitable for both interior and exterior signage.

Clean with warm soapy water - do not use abrasives.

Available in 4 sizes: 300x200mm, 610x305mm, 610x400mm & 1220x610mm

Great brushed silver laminate!

As a model maker it’s very difficult to find laser compatible materials which also work at a reduced scale. This laminate has a nice fine texture which gives a convincing brushed metal effect with just the right amount of gloss finish. Looks just like metal.

Lovely

Arrived quickly (as always), well packaged. Engraved really nicely, but does take a little more effort to cut through compared to single colour acrylic (I assume that might be a glue thing). I only mention this as an aide to those people using relatively low power machines.
In short, lovely stuff highly recommended.
