King’s College London invest in a new laser cutter from Hobarts

After the new laboratory at King’s College London was completed the University were looking for a laser cutter that could be used for prototyping along with research and development.

King’s College London approached Hobarts and after discussing the many options they both agreed that the Universal VLS3.50 – 50 Watt Laser proved to be the perfect fit. A machine that isn’t big and bulky meaning that the laser cutter didn’t take up to much room but with a 50 Watt Laser it is powerful enough to cut up to 9mm thickness material with ease.

The VLS 3.50 desktop lasers are the easiest ways to get started with laser technology. Roughly the size of a printer, a VLS desktop laser packs sophisticated laser processing capabilities into an attractive, durable package. An optional computer-controlled air cleaner cart is available that allows a VLS desktop laser to be used without a dedicated exhaust system, making installation and operation even simpler. The ease of use and small footprint of the VLS desktop laser makes it easy to fit laser technology into your business, whatever it might be.
