The ILS9.150D 100 watt is utilised within in the school of Art and Design. It has moved to a temporary home while the current workshops are undergoing refurbishment.
Our two man team prepared the machine for its move by removing the twin laser cartridges and honeycomb cutting table. We also secure the motion system in place so the axis’ don’t move in transit.
Using our machine castors we can very safely wheel the machine through double doorways and to its new location. In this instance it also took a short trip in one of our larger vehicles as the new site was half a mile away.
Once at the new workshop the machine was moved into position and taken off its castors. We then reinstalled the cartridges and cutting table and carried out a full systems check.
We successfully carried this move out in just one morning, partially due to the great organisation of the staff at the University.
