Prior Park College of Bath extend their Centre of Excellence capabilities with a new Universal PLS6.150D 100w Laser. This is the 2nd PLS6.150D Laser Cutter for the college and Hobarts have had the pleasure of installing both.
This new machine has been installed in their newly renovated, state of the art, Design Technology facility.
Prior Park College also have 2x UP! Boxes and 6x UP! Plus 2’s 3D printers. The college really are setting the standards for Design Technology in the South West, if not the whole Country.
About the PLS6.150D
The PLS6.150D comes standard with SuperSpeed and dual laser configuration, SuperSpeed was developed primarily for raster image applications.
This patented technology pulses to laser beams independently, making it possible for two lines of a raster image to be marked simultaneously.
The laser beams can also be combined high power vector cutting.
Thanks to the dual laser configuration the machine can have up to 150 Watts using 2 x 75 Watts lasers.
The material processing envelope is 32″ x 18″ x 9″ (813 x 457 x 229mm)
