Culford School in Suffolk start their adventure into laser cutting with Hobarts

Culford School have just had their first ULS desktop laser cutting machine installed by Hobarts Lasers

The DT department at Culford were looking for a laser cutter that would be powerful enough to complete the students projects with ease but would not take up to much space within the workshop.

“It is not every day that you get to buy and install a new laser cutter (VLS 3.5). The team at Hobarts were very helpful from first contact to installation taking the time to ensure we were buying the right piece of equipment for our needs. The process of delivery, installation and training happened very efficiently and smoothly. The machine runs quickly and quietly enabling us to work and teach right next to it whilst it is operating. Both staff and pupils are delighted with the new addition to our resources.”

The Desktop VLS3.50 with a 40 Watt laser was the perfect solution! With a width of  864mm by a depth of 635mm the desktop VLS3.50 is small enough to fit on a work surface yet powerful enough to meet the requirements of a busy DT department. Even though it is a compact laser machine there is plenty of room inside for cutting materials up to 610 x 305mm. Giving the students plenty of space to be creative.

Hobarts wish Culford School all the best with their new laser cutter and look forward to working with them in the future.
